In the occasion of Photolux Festival 2015, Associazione Culturale Photolux promoted, for the first year, an international contest dedicated to self-publishing. The contest, open to all photographers and collectives, is aimed to discover the best editorial projects and give them visibility and a chance to be realized. The winning project will receive a contribution of 4000 € for the publication and will be presented during the Festival.

From endless materials and objects around us, glass water, rivers or drifting tides reflections have long been a wonderful part of many magnificent images in photography. What really seems to set them apart always seems to be a step away from the traditional rules as though them seem to take on a personal introspective perspective while being framed up.

Landscapes photography contest
20 photographs will be selected for an exhibition that will take place at the “Blank Wall Gallery” space. All photographers, amateurs and professionals who are over 18, are eligible to participate to the contest.

The Nature Conservancy Australia, one of the world’s largest conservation organisations, is holding an Australia wide photo competition. Categories include landscape, mobile, people in nature, wildlife and urban, because nature is all around us!
Supporting and judging this year’s competition is one of Australia’s most accomplished wildlife and nature photographers, Michael Snedic. This year there will also be a ‘People’s Choice award’.

A shortlist of 30 entrants will be chosen and displayed on the Espy website this will run alongside the print exhibition in elysiumgallery. All 30 artists featured on the website will include a statement of the work and greater details into the artists’ practice. All images will also be shared on all Espy promotion to give the photographers as much exposure as possible.
From the 30 shortlisted, 5 photographers will be selected for the print exhibition to be held at elysiumgallery, Swansea, UK. elysiumgallery is one of Wales’s best contemporary art organisations.
The judges will then select the overall winner and the award will be announced on the opening night of the exhibition.
