Red Bull Illume is the world’s greatest international imagery contest dedicated to adventure and action sports.

Red Bull Illume Photo Contest Rules

  • The contest is “open submission”. 
  • There is no entry fee.
  • The term “images” refers to still and moving images.
  • The term “photographer” refers to the creator of an image.
  • Any creators of an image may submit (whether amateur, rookie or professional photographers).
  • Photographers from all over the world may submit photographs.
  • To register and enter this contest you have to agree to these Rules and Regulations/ Terms of participation.
  • A submitting photographer is referred to as “Entrant”.
  • Entrants must be 18 years of age or older to participate. 
  • If the subject of an image or a video is a minor (under the age of 18), the creator must provide a written release form on request, signed by the legal representative(s), e.g. parents or legal guardian of the minor according to local law.
  • Upon request, photographers must include a model and location release for all images submitted. Failure to provide such release may result in disqualification.
  • Only the photographers can submit their images. Images may not be submitted from a third party on behalf of a photographer.
  • Photographers can only submit their images to one account.
  • Entries may only be made by the authorized account holder of the e-mail address submitted at the time of entry.
  • Apart from the category “Best of Instagram by SanDisk”, all images must be submitted through the official contest website.

Contest Submission Timeline

The submission phase for all categories other than the “Best of Instagram” category takes place between May 1, 2019 and July 31, 2019, midnight CET. Photos must be submitted during this period.

Monochrome Photography Contest 2019

Monochrome Photography Awards conducts an annual competition for professional and amateur photographers. Our mission is to celebrate monochrome visions and discover the most amazing photographers from around the world.

We’re accepting single images from the following categories: Architecture, Abstract, Conceptual, Beauty/ Fashion, Fine Art, Landscapes, Nude, Nature, People, Photomanipulation, Photojournalism, Portrait, Wildlife.

The winners of the Professional and Amateur categories will receive the titles: Monochrome Photographer of the Year and Monochrome Discovery of the Year along with cash prizes. We are open to all points of view, all levels of expertise, and all ideas of black and white photography.

Copyright of the images will remain at all times with the photographer.

Images will be used strictly in connection to the awards and will not be used for any other marketing purposes other than to promote Monochrome Awards . mgFoto Contests 2019

We invite you to the XXVIII Edition of “mgFoto Contests”. This time we want you to show us what’s interesting happened before your eyes last year, so… the theme of the contest is “World in 2018”
Photos (max 3 pcs) are added to the contest album on the facebook page of the group “Contests mgFoto” –
or send by e-mail to (jpeg, 1600p long side, in the body of the email, name and surname, country, possibly photo title)
Jurors in this Edition are:
1 Witold Jacków – Jury President, graduate of the Institute of Art at the University of Silesia in Katowice. He has the title of Professor of Film Arts. He manages the Department of Theory of Art and Artistic Photography at the Institute of Art at the Artistic Department of the University of Silesia in Cieszyn. He deals with photography and painting. He is a member of ZPAF (Union of Polish Art Photographers). He conducts pedagogical and popularizing activities in the field of photography.
2 Paweł Boćko – Artist photographer, architect, member of mgFoto, currently V-ce President of the Board, A graduate of the Cracow University of Technology. Co-founder of the FiP photographic group. In 2014, he was accepted as a member of the Fotoklubu Polish Republic of the Association of Artists. In 2018, he was awarded the Medal for Merits for Polish Photography – a decoration granted by the Chapter of the Photoclub of the Polish Association of Artists – on the 100th anniversary of Poland regaining its independence
3 Jacek Haratym – Doctor, photographer, motorcyclist. He is a member of the International Federation of Photographic Art FIAP, with the title of Artiste FIAP (AFIAP) and the Lublin Photographic Society. Winner of many medals and awards at international photographic art salons around the world. He presented his works in photographic salons under the patronage of the FIAP, in almost 30 countries around the world from the United States to Australia and from South Africa to Russia.
4 Bartosz Węglarczyk – Editor-in-Chief of, he studied at the Faculty of Journalism and Political Science at the University of Warsaw. He worked, for “Gazeta Wyborcza”, “Sukces”, “Rzeczpospolita”, TVN. Awarded by the Association of Polish Journalists with the Kazimierz Dziewanowski Award.
5. Valentin Robert – a guest from abroad, France, Is a landscape architect and stage designer recognized around the world. Currently, he devotes his entire life to the art of photography.

The annual BigPicture: Natural World Photography Competition encourages photographers from around the world to contribute their work to this photo competition that will both celebrate and illustrate the rich diversity of life on Earth and inspire action to protect and conserve it through the power of imagery. Contest Prizes:

$12,000 in cash prizes to be awarded to the 2019 BigPicture Natural World Photography Competition winners: The Grand Prize winner will receive $5,000 for the best overall image and be featured in the annual exhibit at the California Academy of Sciences (July 26 – October 27, 2019). Nikon Small World Competition 2019

The Nikon International Small World Competition first began in 1975 as a means to recognize and applaud the efforts of those involved with photography through the light microscope. Since then, Small World has become a leading showcase for photomicrographers from the widest array of scientific disciplines.

Anyone over the age of 18 is eligible, with the exception of employees of Nikon, their families, the contest judges, and individuals engaged in the manufacture or sale of microscopes, related accessories or photographic equipment.

A photomicrograph is a technical document that can be of great significance to science or industry. But a good photomicrograph is also an image whose structure, color, composition, and content is an object of beauty, open to several levels of comprehension and appreciation.

The Nikon Small World Competition is open to anyone with an interest in photography through the microscope. Truly international in scope, entries have been received from the United States, Canada, Europe, Australia, Latin America, Asia, and Africa. Winners have included both professionals and hobbyists.

The subject matter is unrestricted and any type of light microscopy technique is acceptable, including phase contrast, polarized light, fluorescence, interference contrast, darkfield, confocal, deconvolution, and mixed techniques. Entries submitted to Nikon are then judged by an independent panel of experts who are recognized authorities in the area of photomicrography and photography. These entries are judged on the basis of originality, informational content, technical proficiency and visual impact.


Winning images will only be used in connection with the Nikon Small World Competition and accompanying publicity and will include appropriate photo credits.
